who we are
Pam Rocker, Director and Founder (she/her)
Pam Rocker is anything but typical. She’s a trailblazing activist, award-winning writer, dynamic speaker, Certified DEIB Specialist, and musician who uses courage, candour, and creativity to ignite change. Named one of Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40 and one of the top 30 Activists in Canada, Pam is known for blending sharp insight with deep compassion—and often, a dose of humour—to challenge injustice and shift culture.
For over 15 years, Pam has championed the full inclusion of 2SLGBTQIA+ people in faith spaces, workplaces, and communities across sectors. Her work as a DEIB Specialist and Consultant spans social justice, social media theory, leadership, and meaningful systems change. Whether in boardrooms or classrooms, she speaks with warmth and disarming honesty, inviting others to move beyond performative allyship toward brave, bold belonging.
Pam has served as Board Chair for Broadview Magazine—Canada’s oldest publication—and for Affirm United/S’Affirmer Ensemble, a national movement for 2SLGBTQIA+ justice in faith communities. She teaches for programs like YouthWrite Alberta and YOUthRiot, and currently sits on a national advisory committee developing resources for survivors of conversion “therapy” practices.
A former CBC Radio panelist and celebrated WordFest host, Pam also trained in improv and sketch at UCB LA and The Groundlings. Her passion for equity is matched by a lifelong love of performance and storytelling, including years spent leading a queer feminist ukulele comedy band (yes, really).
Pam continues to teach, speak, and perform across Turtle Island—offering not just education, but transformation. You can email Pam here.
